The Sonoma Wine Garden is a Mediterranean restaurant featuring progressive Mediterranean/Californian cuisine, a curated selection of wines from around the world, and views of the Pacific Ocean and sunset. The Sonoma Wine Garden is located on the roof deck of Santa Monica Place, at the end of the Santa Monica Promenade.
Directions
Driving:
16-35 minutes; 9.2 miles
- Exit UCLA, head west towards I-405.
- Go south on I-405
- Take exit 53 for I-10 west towards Santa Monica
- Take exit 1A; turn right on 4th street.
There are several public parking structures on 4th street and on nearby streets. Parking structures 7 and 8 connect directly to Santa Monica Place. The first 1.5 hours is free. Parking for 2 hours in $2. Parking for the full 2.5 hours is $4. No validation required.
Bus:
There are two convenient buses that take you directly from UCLA to the dinner. Both cost $1.25 each way and take approximately 45 minutes, including 12 minutes walking. The two buses are labeled “1 Venice” and “2 Downtown SM.” Both buses board at Hilgard/Westholme (link) and drop you off at 4th/Broadway.
The same buses can be used to take you back to UCLA, though they board at slightly different locations. Bus 1 boards at 4th/Colorado, while Bus 2 boards at 4th/Broadway. The two stops are about 2 min walk apart. Both buses will take you to UCLA and drop you off at Charles E Young @ P2 Garage.
